Open For Business

by Melanie Nathan on February 11, 2009

canadian_seo_scene-231x300 Open For BusinessWithout any fanfare, streamers or balloons, CanadianSEO, a site dedicated to all things Canadian and SEO (especially where they overlap), is officially open for business today. Yay! There’s still a lot I want to do but I figure it’ll never be perfect so why wait?

I have big plans for future content on this site so you might wanna subscribe to the feed. I’d hate for you to miss out on a secret link building resource or even my recipe for Canadian bacon butter for that matter ;)

Oh, and although I offer all the usual search engine optimization and marketing services, if you’re looking for a kick a** link builder, I’m definitely your girl. Seriously. Hire me or lose out. I’m not bragging, I’m applying for a job. I want to be your link builder. My services page is coming soon… feel free to use the online contact form in the meantime if you’re interested in a custom quote.

Btw, since I’m teaching my lil’ sister how to link build right now, I though it would be a neat idea for a first post. Watch for it sometime today in my shiny new “link building” category.

Props to the following tweeple for their contributions in helping me get this site up and running. I sincerely could not have done this without you.

@mvandemar
@reese
@jz
@jboeckman

Also a big thanks to everyone who allowed me to bounce ideas off them!

And now, in the interest of keeping things er, interesting…. I’ll be picking one commenter below by end of day Friday, to receive a fun-filled Canadian themed prize package. Hmmm. What *ever* could it be???

Dr. Pete 02.13.09 at 12:04 pm

In honor of your launch, I’ve written you this song, to the tune of your national anthem:

“O Melanie!
Our home-girl from up north!
True SEO love, your worst site still ranks forth.
With glowing links your SERPs do rise,
The link juice strong and free!
From far and wide, O Melanie
We link to you for free.”

Melanie Nathan 02.13.09 at 1:10 pm

@Dr.Pete: lmao are you *sure* you’re not Canadian?! You’re much too clever not to be :)

@Don: lol um, no. Because in Canada, “beaver” also means ,er, something else. You didn’t hear that from me though [runs away].

Chris Hooley 02.13.09 at 5:00 pm

Ok, it’s 5 PM Arizona Time. Does this comment count to GET ME THAT CANADIAN PRIZE PACKAGE!?!?!

WANT

Melanie Nathan 02.13.09 at 5:41 pm

lmao @Chris Hooley… no but I definitely think you qualify for a consolation prize if you don’t win ;)

One of the Other Melanies in SEO 02.13.09 at 5:58 pm

Congrats on the launch. Love the design and wishing you the best of luck as you embark on your new solo adventure.

(Also super thrilled that I got a link from your second-ever post. I’m crossing my fingers that will age well down the line :) )

Ryan 02.13.09 at 7:32 pm

I’m here! Let the party begin… eh…

I knew it was a good idea to follow you on twitter–I almost missed out on entering!

Good luck on the new site, and I’m keenly interested in linkbuilding–I’m pretty clueless outside of pumping out content.

Michael VanDeMar 02.13.09 at 8:35 pm

Wow, that is one awesome domain name you have there! How ever did you manage to snag it?

Gratz on the launch. :D

Chris Hooley 02.15.09 at 8:02 pm

Where’s my Canadian prize package?!?! WANT!!!

Brian 02.17.09 at 8:18 pm

Congratz Mel. As a past client, I can attest to your good work and expect nothing short of your total domination of the SEO market in Canada!

Laura 02.20.09 at 7:42 pm

Hi Melanie,

I LOVE the images in your header. Where did you get them? I’d love to replace the picture of the woman typing on a laptop with a more modern looking person. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Eric Friedman 07.20.09 at 1:37 pm

This site looks great - good luck!
